LISS experts know their industry and the individuals, businesses and organisations working within it. This familiarity with the needs of a broad range of landbased employers and sectors is what makes LISS unique. A no-cost or low-cost service

With the exception of commercial training courses which are chargeable, most of our services are currently free-of-charge. LISS is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with the remainder of our support provided by Oatridge College. We know the tight margins which small businesses work within and we strive to ensure you receive value for money.

To help grow your enterprise we offer:

• Guidance on business development or expansion
• Help with farm/rural diversification projects
• Support for those wanting to start a new landbased business (including links to support agencies such as Business Gateway and PSYBT)
• Funding options to kickstart your ideas
• Technical advice on facilities required, training needs, improving standards, regulatory requirements and latest methods
  
• A network of contacts in other organisations who may be able to assist you
